Hello! My name is Haley, I am the owner/photographer of Haley Daugherty Photography. I specialize in newborn, family, milestone, and lifestyle sessions. I also offer birth, fresh 48, events, mini announcements, seniors, small weddings, engagement/couples, pets, seasonal minis, and extended family sessions. —so basically all the things ;) I have a studio located in Mooresville, IN called ‘The Studio On Main’! I have been in this new space for almost a year now and I am in love with it! It basically fell out of the sky at the most perfect time for me, and I made my photography best friend, Erica Rayl, move in with me. JK, she loves me ;) Together, we have poured our heart and soul into this studio to make it perfect. We have too many props to count, the most gorgeous client closet, and best of the best equipment. It’s just the most perfect cozy little space for you and your family<3

So, a little (okay maybe a lot) on how it all started….Photography has always been a passion of mine. I got my first “big” camera for my 16th birthday. I had an eye for pretty lighting and seeing the beauty in a tree branch in my backyard ;) With a lot of trial and error, and some YouTube, I taught myself the basics of my camera and how to shoot in manual mode. It wasn’t until I had a baby of my own that I started to photograph actual people ;) (aside from some prom pics for friends in high school!) I had my oldest son (Jaxson) in May of 2014. I wanted to document every single second of that sweet boy’s life. So of course I had to get my big camera out! Once I got a little more creative with my set ups and a little better with my photos, I had more and more people asking me to do their photos too! I had so much encouragement to make it a real business, and although I was a little nervous, with a little push from others, I DID IT! Best decision ever. I have met SO many people along the way, made so may friendships, and most importantly have captured countless memories for people that mean more to them than I think I will ever realize! (brb crying) I have been touched and inspired by every person I have worked with and for that I am forever grateful!

Over time, newborns have become my little niche. I started specializing in newborns back in 2015. I was inspired by THE Rachel Vanoven ;) the OG newborn photographer in the industry. (She basically made it a thing and has been teaching her posing, lighting, and most importantly SAFETY methods all over the world for 15 ish years now!) I have taken every course/workshop she had to offer, and without her I wouldn’t be where I am today! I am SO thankful for her, and grateful I get to now call her one of my closest friends (and boss, when I assist her) ;) And if you know her and her passion for safety, you know how well I have been taught! Your baby’s safety is my top priority <3

Aside from photography, I work part time as a tech for My Sweet Baby Ultrasounds (formerly known as Sneak Peek!) My sister started Sneak Peek in 2013, so for the past 11 years we have gotten to work together to build this amazing community for mommas to come see their babies and find out the gender early. It is truly one of the most rewarding jobs. December 2023, my sister decided to step back as owner and hand it off to My Sweet Baby. I sure miss working with my sissy, but I couldn’t see myself working anywhere else! So with the bumps and babes I will stay ;) -the fact that both of my jobs revolve around babes makes my heart explode!!!

Lastly, and the most important fact about me—I’m a lucky momma to the two most perfect boys, Jaxson(9) & Bennett(7) <3 They keep me busy with sports, school, hanging out with their cousins (their fave thing ever to do) and laundry :) I know everyone brags on their kids but I couldn’t be prouder of these boys. Since they were born they have been so easy and well behaved. Always their teacher’s favorite, so selfless and caring to everyone around them, respectful, kind, and so so loving. They make me one happy, and emotional, momma!

I truly wouldn’t be where I am today without all the people I have mentioned above, and of course without the help and support from my mommy and daddy! Love those rad people more than they will ever know. Can’t forget to give them a little shout out too ;) And thank you to all of you that have supported me along the way and kept coming back, year after year. And if you’re new here, WELCOME! Thanks for stopping by, and for making it this far with my rambling ;)

Let’s make some memories! <3 <3 <3

xoxo, Haley
